Larry Woodward will demonstrate his techniques for turning and carving Salad Utensils.

This will be an in person and hybrid meeting

A recording of the demonstration, along with any accompanying materials, will be available online following the meeting.

Open Studios

There will be Friday morning Open Studios on August 14th and 21st. We want to ensure that everyone gets the lathe and/or material they would like to use, so please reserve your spot by emailing davearnonehome@gmail.com by the Wednesday prior to the date you want to attend.The studio provides lathes, some tooling and materials, depending on needs. The studio opens at 9:30AM and we generally close by 12:30PM. Space is limited so RESERVE your spot by emailing, texting or calling Dave (davearnonehome@gmail.com or 518 858-1108). Come and turn and network with your fellow turners. The studio is located at 260 Long Pond Drive.

Coffee Hour

August 26th – Virtual Coffee Hour – 9:00 AM 


There will be an open discussion on offset turning, as well as a Show and Tell featuring turnings you would like to share. You can upload photos of your work at any time during the month to the following link but please upload by the Tuesday prior to the coffee hour.

Special Event- Lathe Maintenance Workshop

August 27th 9am – at 260 Long Pond Dr in S. Yarmouth - We will go over the complete process of setting up and maintaining a lathe from motor to tailstock, and reply to any specific questions you may be encountering with your own lathe. Following the review, we will apply what we have learned by having each participant inspect and service one of the lathes in the studio. (My thanks for your help with this process in advance).
